Regular folks tend to keep their arguments fairly private, or at least limited to those directly in ear-shot of their yells and screams. Musicians on the other hand, being inherently more than a bit egotistical and dramatic, feel the need to share their beef with the world. As we all know, the best way to let everyone in on your "private" argument is through Twitter, with plenty of musicians duking it out on the Twitter-verse since the social media channels creation. Some have been small disputes ending in a compromise, others quite heated, and many others being downright ridiculous. To thank all of the zany musical artists who have given us oh-so-many moments of entertainment with their need to publicly rant and feud, here are 8 of the best/most ridiculous twitter wars ever to occur between musicians.

While we're on the subject of feuds, don't forget to take a look at the kind of feuds, Axl Rose.

8Courtney Love VS Dave Grohl

No stranger to being crazy in the real world, Courtney Love's unique brand of cray also extends to the Twitter-verse, as seen in her many twitter rants and feuds. But Love's best (or worst, maybe?) Twitter moments are always in reference to Dave Grohl, front man to the Foo Fighters and one-time band-mate of the late Kurt Cobain, Love's deceased husband. At one point Love tried to blame Grohl for why Kurt Cobain Guitar Hero was shitty (even though she actually helped to create the game) but things went way too far when Love claimed Grohl tried to get with her and Cobain's daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Thankfully, the little Cobain is a bit more sane than her mother and told the world that Love's accusations were entirely false, going on to say Twitter should ban her mother. Unfortunately Love's rants were on her private account, whose tweets have all been deleted, though you can check out a screen shot of Love's anti-Grohl epic here.

7Chief Keef VS Katy Perry

One tiny comment turned into a maelstrom of aggression after pop starlet Katy Perry tweeted to the world that Chicago rapper Chief Keef's song "I Hate Being Sober" resulted in Perry to "have serious doubt for the world." Like a 17-year-old would (and yes, Keef is 17), the rapper responded with a series of uncalled-for tweets, saying Perry "can suck skin off my dick" and that he'll "smack the shit out of her." Forever the classy cat, Katy Perry actually apologized for her original remark, saying she's a fan of Keef's and she didn't mean to offend. This did not prompt an apology from Chief Keef, even though Perry definitely deserved one way more than he did.

6Rihanna VS Chris Brown

Ah, the nigh-never ending drama that has been the Rihanna and Chris Brown relationship. This pair of dysfunctional star-crossed lovers has consistently given the Twitter-verse plenty of choice moments since "officially" ending a few years ago. The final curtain close on the tumultuous relationship was pretty great though, beginning with Rihanna sharing an image with the words "If I drop all my hoes for you and we still don't work out you owe me some hoes." Brown then replied with a tweet saying "She's not mine if she's everybody else's," thus telling the world that the couple was no more. All good things must come to an end...though I don't think any relationship that involved physical abuse can ever be deemed "good."

Settling is not an option! Nothing less than 100% loyalty, honesty, and respect!! Love ain't for kidz #butimsleeptho

5Ariane Grande VS Bette Midler

When you think of celebrity-musicians who would get into a Twitter feud, singer and actress Bette Midler definitely doesn't pop into your head. Still, the strange did happen when Midler said, in an interview, how Ariana Grande looks "so ridiculous" and "silly beyond belief" when trying to be over-sexual, especially given her "silly high... [and] very wholesome voice." Grande actually responded quite intelligently, saying how she thought Midler was a feminist who fought for allowing women to do whatever they chose, then sharing a rather skimpy photo of Midler herself. Seeing how she was mostly in the wrong, Midler did tweet out an apology, even though it was less than heartfelt.

About my screed on @ArianaGrande , all I can say is, "Spoken like a reformed old whore! She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off."

4Lorde VS Diplo

Often out of the tabloid side of the public eye, teenage sensation Lorde doesn't typically get into random fueds. But Lorde couldn't help but take to Twitter and bitch out Diplo after the DJ made fun of Taylor Swift's booty, calling it small. Lorde, a friend of Swift's and defender of butts everywhere, then told the world that if small butts are a problem then we should do something about Diplo's tiny penis. In a rather failed attempt at a comeback, Diplo then pointed out Lorde's young age, saying how she's really just a high school student. Not your best Diplo, not your best.

"@lordemusic: @diplo should we do something about your tiny penis while we're at it hm" (👸 the moment u realize she's a high school student)

3Zayn Malik VS Louis Tomlison

When Zayn, arguably (no, obviously) the best looking and most-desired member of One Direction left the group this past March, the world was taken aback. We were all comforted, though, that there was seemingly no bad blood between the now-solo member and the rest of the group, a reassurance which was apparently false, at least in regards to troll-doll-looking OD member Louis Tomlison. When Zayn and music producer Naughty Boy posted a photo together on Twitter, Louis called them out for using what looks like Apple's Photobooth app, basically calling them tweens who think that's still cool. You could have passed this off as playful boyish teasing, 'til Louis took it another step further and basically said Naughty Boy is a bum mooching off of Zayn's popularity. Zayn didn't like that, and told Louis to stop making bitchy comments about his life. Not the most epic of twitter-exchanges, but hopefully this will lead into an excavation of the dark side of One Direction we didn't get to see when the band was still whole.
