Win Butler and his wife Régine Chassagne have announced that they’re working on a new.. restaurant. That’s right, the two Arcade Fire members are aiming to have a new Haitian themed restaurant up and running in Montreal this year. The exact date or the actual location have not been announced yet but we do know that the resto will be named Agrikol, a wordplay on the sugar-cane liquor agricole. The only other thing that's known at the moment is that the head chef will be Jesse Grasso who Torontonians might recognize from his work at Rhum Corner.

Speaking with The Globe and Mail, Win shed a bit of light on his new project

It’s more of an art project. The idea is that it’s a cultural space. The thing that we were really impressed with at Rhum Corner is that it’s this space for Haitian and Caribbean culture and it’s really cool and contemporary. Régine’s family moved to Montreal from Haiti, like a lot of Haitians.

With over 200,000 Haitians and over a million Arcade Fire fans in Montreal, there’s definitely room for the restaurant to be a huge success.
