Top 10 Montreal Concerts In 2012
One of the questions we're frequently asked here at UpVenue is "which concert(s) should I attend this year?" Since this question is very specific to the city in which you live in, we'll start by answering it for our local fans here in Montreal. If the response for this article is great, we'll tackle other cities around the world soon after.

10) Lady Antebellum
Date: June 14 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: Five-time Grammy Award winners Lady Antebellum arrive in Montreal this June. Frankly, we're a bit rock n roll, but if you're a bit country, go check them out.
9) Chicago
Date: February 1st and 5th at Theatre St-Denis
Why you should attend: With over 38 million records sold, Chicago have proven to be one of the most successful rock bands of all time.
8) Bush, Seether, Nickelback, My Darkest Days
Date: April 21 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: Even if one of these bands isn't your cup of tea, the others will most likely make up for it.
7) Foster The People
Date: June 12 2012 at Esplanade Du Centenaire
Why you should attend: Foster The People are the breakout group of 2011. Their massive hit, Pumped Up Kicks, continues to grace radio airwaves.
6) The Black Keys
Date: March 13 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: This duo has been blowing up over the past few years. Their latest, El Camino, is the perfect follow up to the highly successful Brothers.
5) Coldplay
Dates: July 26 and 27 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: In order to change things up, Coldplay released the industrial rock album Mylo Xyloto in 2011. Whether you're a fan of their old stuff, their new stuff, both or just looking for a date idea, get your Coldplay tickets quickly; they'll sell out fast.
4) Van Halen and Kool & The Gang
Date: March 15 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: Okay, we're still perplexed as to why these two are touring together but that's not a complaint by any means.
3) Roger Waters - The Wall Live
Date: June 26 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: It's Roger Waters, from Pink Floyd, and he's playing all of The Wall, what more do you want? Shame on you if you missed this show last time, here's your chance to make up for it.
2) Gigantour (Volbeat, Lacuna Coil, Motorhead and Megadeth)
Date: February 3rd at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: Did you not read the headline? Volbeat, Lacuna Coil, Motorhead, and Megadeth!
1) Michael Jackson The Immortal World Tour
Dates: 20, 21, 22 March and July 6 and 7 at Centre Bell
Why you should attend: We know this isn't a concert in the tradional sense but it can't be missed. The show, which opened last October, received positive reviews. Here's your chance to see it again.
