5David Guetta - Hey Mama ft Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack
When you have a pop-royalty team like David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Afrojack and Bebe Rexha behind a track, you simply know the song is going to be incredibly catchy, and "Hey Mama" definitely delivers. Combining the best aspects of all the artists, "Hey Mama" has my vote for this year's top summer song, with a sexy-trippy video to boot.
4Wiz Khalifa feat. Charlie Puth - See You Again
If this song didn't already break your heart during the last five minutes of Furious 7, well, then you are a soulless monster. Having a tinge of sadness isn't the norm for a summer song, but it definitely works in this Wiz Khalifa & Charlie Puth collaboration. Rather than just pump you up for a good night, "See You Again" reminds you that while you enjoy the good times of summer, know that the season is fleeting and you should spend the time with those you love most.
3Taylor Swift and Kendrick Lamar - Bad Blood
Having Kendrick Lamar featured on a Taylor Swift track is kind of mind-boggling in a lot of ways, though it's easy to see why so many herald "Bad Blood" as the summer's track. For one, it has all the usual Swift-ness Taylor is known for, with plenty of adorable angst and an infectious hook, plus it has a couple of verses with Kendrick littered throughout to spice up the song. Best of all is the video, which is like the Fifth Element on steroids, featuring Lena Dunham, Jessica Alba, and oh-so-many femme fatales. If the "Bad Blood" music video ever got made into a full series, I'd definitely watch.
2Rihanna - B**ch Better Have My Money
Both a killer summer song and a motto to live by, Rihanna's "B**ch Better Have My Money" will surely be blaring from the convertibles of white girls who want to seem bad-ass everywhere throughout summer 2015. Let 'em, because Ri-Ri's latest track is trap-tacularly perfect for getting ready to go out, cruising with the windows rolled down, or when you're getting cash from all your friends for the case of beer you just bought, all of which are definitely going to happen to you at some point in the summer.
1Nicki Minaj - The Night Is Still Young
Anytime an artist has a track on their album all about partying and being young, you know its going to be a hit on the radio, especially when the musician in question is Nicki Minaj. Even though there are far more quality tracks on Ms. Minaj's latest album Pink Print, "The Night is Still Young" is the song with the most summer-appeal, given that it's all about being young, pretty, and having fun, as you could probably guess from the title. Like any Nicki track, the song is catchy with some slick rhymes, so what's not to love?
