Sinead O'Connor on Suicide Watch

Sinead O'Connor is very active on the social networking site Twitter, but a few tweets recently have sparked concern, and placed her on suicide watch. It all began with this tweet:

Had to go to the psychiatrist for routine renew prescription etc. She says I'm a bad mum and mental for talking so openly about sex in public. All this shit we’re not allowed to say. Including suicidal feelings, sex etc. U just get treated like a crazy person.

Things got worse with her next update:

I want to go to heaven SO bad. Have for years. But I don’t wanna abandon my kids. But if I cud die without them knowing I did it myself I wud.

She has since gone on record stating that she does not plan on taking her life:

I am not at all sorry that I wrote what I did on twitter. It was a cry for help and help was received. So it was worth it. I have no shame around the fact that I can be shot into suicidal feelings by certain people's treatment of me. I am no different to any other person.

She later tweeted about her desperate search for a new boyfriend, and, again, described herself as suicidal:

Must announce boyfriend search very much still on. If any1 wants a suicidal tourettes ridden fat ugly lunatic with a big fat flappy *****..

Sinead O'Connor had first attempted suicide in 2000 after her marriage fell apart.

Sinead shot into fame in the early 90s after her incredible cover of Prince's Nothing Compares 2U, and ultimately saw her demise after tearing apart a picture of Pope John Paul II on Saturday Night Live while uttering the word "EVIL".
