After a little time off, Pop Evil has hit the road once again, kicking off the first leg of their Flesh & Bone Tour. Sharing the stage on this run are the talented Canadian rockers, Sierra Pilot, fresh off the release of their EP, Karma.

After releasing their EP just a week ago, Sierra Pilot brought their A-game to Le Studio TD, priming the crowd not only for Pop Evil but also treating them to some of their latest tracks. As the intro music faded, the stage welcomed Pop Evil's newest member, drummer Blake Allison, followed closely by guitarists Dave Grah and Nick Fueling, bassist Joey 'Chicago' Walser, and frontman Leigh Kakaty. They launched into their set with 'Paranoid (Crash & Burn)' from their latest release, Skeletons. The momentum continued with 'Deal with the Devil,' 'Chaos Reign,' and 'Circles.' 'Work' got the crowd moving even more, with Leigh's encouragement prompting fists to raise and bodies to jump. 'Be Legendary' and newer tracks like 'Who Will We Become' kept the energy high.

Although the Skeletons album dominated the setlist, the crowd was familiar with most of the songs, singing along enthusiastically. Before diving into 'Skeletons,' Leigh connected with the audience, emphasizing the importance of unity and understanding. 'Eye of the Storm' kept the energy soaring, followed by Leigh's introduction of the band members. 'Footsteps' and 'Survivor' maintained the intensity before 'Waking Lions,' although slightly marred by way too heavy bass causing the vocals to be drowned out where I was standing.

Slowing down with one of their early hits, '100 in a 55,' Pop Evil showcased their versatility. 'Torn to Pieces' and 'Trenches' led up to the final song of the night, 'Breathe Again,' a personal favourite for many.

Overall, it was an electrifying performance from Pop Evil, even if the crowd's energy could have matched the band's enthusiasm more closely.
